You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontarios capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. The mandate of the OSC is to provide protection to investors from unfair improper or fraudulent practices to foster fair efficient and competitive capital markets and confidence in the capital markets to foster capital formation and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk. This mandate is performed through policy operational and enforcement activities. The OSC also contributes to national and global securities regulation development.

The Corporate Finance Division is a regulatory department responsible for regulating issuers (other than investment funds) in the public and exempt markets. The department reviews public distributions of securities exempt market activities and continuous disclosure of reporting issuers and leads issuer-related policy initiatives. The department is also responsible for supervising insider reporting regulating credit rating agencies and overseeing the listed issuer function for OSC recognized exchanges.
The Syndicated Mortgage and Real Estate Specialist will collaborate with senior legal counsel and accountants to design and execute compliance reviews and sweeps as well as prepare continuous disclosure industry planning memos for real estate issuers and alternative mortgage lenders as related to Syndicated Mortgage Investments (SMI)/Real Estate Investments. They will provide expert guidance on SMI/Real Estate Investment policy initiatives through briefing materials for senior management provide related advice to other Divisions across the OSC and design and implement staff training.
