Position Summary: A study of the relationship between the mental and the physical and the nature of mental phenomena such as thought desire sensation consciousness emotion and artificial intelligence. A variety of theories (dualism materialism functionalism etc.) both classical and contemporary are examined.

Qualifications Required: PhD

Qualifications Other Areas of Competence: Philosophy of Mind or has taken at least one graduate level course in the area has previously taught the course or a relevantly similar course or has research expertise (has discussed it in their dissertation or has presented or published papers in the area

The PCAF is a separate form due within 5 days of the email notification of posted courses and is submitted via Qualtrics. Refer to this notification for the link to the PCAF. Members who do not submit a PCAF may apply for posted course through a separate application for each course. Refer to the collective agreement for additional information on the PCAF.
