Job Description
Overview
As our Radiology Tech at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.
To be successful in this role youll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.

Responsibilities
- Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
- Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
- Correctly operates fixed x-ray equipment portable x-ray machines and C-arms.
- Obtains quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure markers and shielding.
- Able to utilize electronic health record.
- Able to utilize PACs system and all the essential functions of the system.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Associates Degree (2 year program) or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Medical Radiographer (MRAD):North Dakota.
- Registered Technologist Radiography (RTR) within 12 months.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card BLS-CPR.
Required Minimum Knowledge Skills Abilities and Training
- FIT Testing
- Knowledgeable in basic computer skills PACs and Meditech
