GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision the instructor is responsible for fostering student learning in the Electronics Engineering Technology program. The instructor may be assigned to teach courses in other electronics programs in the Industrial Technologies department or other related courses in other programs in the Industrial Technology department. Teaching responsibilities include both lecture and laboratory settings. Teaching assignments are predominantly in the daytime but occasionally may occur in the evening. This position requires strong organizational skills good communication skills ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction team-teaching skills curriculum development skills and demonstrated experience working in or with the electronics manufacturing or engineering sector. The instructor must be accessible to students serve on department and college committees and maintain relationships with electronics organizations and businesses. Must be responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of an individual Professional Preparation Plan as outlined in the Colleges Quality Faculty Plan.

Position involves sitting and/or standing most of the time in a classroom setting. Occasional (10-33%) repetitive motion stooping crouching pushing pulling carrying and lifting up to 20 pounds. Frequent (34-66%) reaching standing walking lifting and grasping. Constant (67-100%) talking hearing and viewing various types of close work. May travel to other on-campus facilities off-campus facilities and business to teach attend meetings etc.
