Responsible for providing nursing care for patients in accordance with YRMC established policies operating practices guidelines and national standards of care to foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families. Provides surgical first assisting under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program
Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
Current Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certificate
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position
Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients and their families.
Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
Basic computer literacy and proficiency.
Bachelor degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certificate
Electronic medical record experience; Cerner strongly preferred
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
