This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.


Role Overview:



The Sales Representative role is a key part of our New York Life Group Benefit Solutions distribution organization that focuses specifically on Agents within our Agency role exclusively works with New York Lifes Business Solutions team to help educate train and guide Agents in selling new business and assisting with the persistency of our in-force clients.


What Youll Do:



The Sales Representative role sells group insurance products including Life Accident Disability (STD and LTD) and Absence Management solutions as well as our worksite products (Critical Illness Accident and Hospital Indemnity) to middle market (50-5000 lives) clients.
In addition the Sales Representative is responsible for partnering with Business Solutions to drive proactive growth (upselling and cross selling) and the profitable retention of Inforce Clients.
We are seeking a candidate that is a self-starter who likes building relationships and driving profitable sales results in a fast-paced environment.


What youll bring:



BA/BS Degree preferred
2 years of group benefits sales experience required
Candidate must live in or be able to commute to the Greater Los Angeles Metro Area.
Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills
Ability to partner internally with service partners and externally with brokers
Ability to navigate and develop relationships within a matrix organization (underwriting service implementation partners)
Ability to work independently and as a team player to achieve goals and objectives
Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once while prioritizing as needed
Ability to maintain compliance tracking in all appropriate systems as needed (quotes calls sales)
Excellent MS Office skills
Ability to use and present technology/online tools effectively
Negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to travel domestically/overnight up to 60% may be required
Excellent communication (verbal and written) presentation and interpersonal skills
Valid Drivers License / acceptable driving record
Life and Health Insurance License required

Pay Transparency

Salary range:$125000 - $130000 (base sales incentive)

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:No

Sales bonus eligible:Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individuals experience skills qualifications and job location. Additionally employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
