Queensland Rails Legal Right to Information and Privacy (LRP) Team is excited to announce that we are looking for a Legal Counsel (3PQE) who is eager to grow their career and make a significant impact within our organisation. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior legal staff and other professional staff on a variety of legal right to information and privacy matters providing a unique opportunity for professional development and advancement.

Your Opportunity

As a Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in helping us comply with all legal requirements as well as review draft and manage legal documents or advice in relation to Queensland Rails activities.

Your work will directly influence the trajectory of Queensland Rails operations and strategies offering a unique opportunity to contribute to projects that shape the future of Queenslands transportation infrastructure. This role offers the chance to immerse yourself in a diverse array of legal issues from commercial and contracts law to regulatory compliance ICT procurement corporate governance disputes and competition matters. A background in right to information and privacy matters would be desirable but not essential.

Pre-Employment Qualification:

To be considered for this position you must hold a current Practising Certificate in Queensland (or be able to obtain one) and will be required to provide a certified colour copy of your legal qualification before an offer can be extended.


Remuneration & Employment Type

This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a salary of $155000 plus 12.75% superannuation along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.
