About the role
As a Materials Officer you will play a key role in supporting the availability of components for rollingstock equipment and materials for the on-site team. Your responsibilities will include ordering storing and retrieving inventory essential to keeping the fleet operational.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include
Provide quality customer service when supplying and storing components consumables tools and equipment and keep good relations with the Rollingstock Assets Facility
Ensure availability of parts by maintaining inventory control and supply function on a regular basis
Guarantee accuracy of data and information Materials Management System
Use machinery such as stock picker and forklift to load and unload materials as well as perform all other associated duties and functions necessary for the efficient operation of the depot

About you
Experience and knowledge of inventory management processes
High level technical skills using various computer programs/ software and using Microsoft Office tools
Excellent communication skills with ability to establish and develop working relationships with stakeholders
Ability to be highly flexible and responsive

This is a12-month fixed-term full-timeposition isbased in Cairns at the Portsmith role offers a starting base salary of$74300plus 12.75% superannuation.
