What you will do:
This role coordinates and delivers SCDOR training programs including taxpayer education and the agencys speakers bureau. The goal is to support informed compliance strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders and help build a more capable workforce.
Primary job duties include:
- Managing the planning and logistics of the Speakers Bureau program.
- Securing subject matter experts to present at external taxpayer events.
- Instructing Speakers Bureau classes and maintaining course materials.
- Collaborating with our Communications section to ensure consistent branding of materials and information.
- Leading SCDORs Recruitment Ambassador classes.
- Managing the planning logistics registration evaluation and communications for the Taxpayer Education Program workshops and seminars.
- Facilitating and overseeing in-person online and hybrid program events.
- Serving as the SCDOR liaison to the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants for coordination and promotion of program events.
- Designing updating and delivering tax law customer service and process improvement courses. Developing instructional materials and participating in curriculum and forecasting improvements.
- Providing administrative support across Taxpayer Education tax law customer service and process improvement programs.
- Serving as the back-up coordinator for New Hire Orientation.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

- A bachelors degree and relevant experience. (Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.)
- Relevant experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with an approved equivalency by the Division of State human Resources (DSHR).
Preferred Qualifications
- Instructional experience.
- Knowledge of methods for designing administering and evaluating training programs.
- Presentation skills to include the use of visual aids print material and other media.
- Ability to work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.

- Hours:Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Monday Friday (37.5 hours per week).
- Telework schedule:This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week.
