Aniplex of America Inc. (Santa Monica California) is a subsidiary of Aniplex Inc. Aniplex of America has released numerous popular anime titles on disc theatrical releases streaming TV broadcasting as well as mobile games. These tiles include Demon Slayer: Kimetu no Yaiba NieR:Automata Fate/stay night franchise Sword Art Online franchise Puella Magi Madoka Magica KILL la KILL Monogatari series and many others. SUMMARY
Aniplex of America is looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Supervisor to join our team in Santa Monica CA. This position will oversee the daily operations of the marketing department for anime production ensuring that all marketing activities align with the companys goals and objectives. This role involves managing a team of marketing professionals developing marketing strategies and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
This role requires someone that is a strong team leader and a team player with a passion for anime. They possess design skills excellent copywriting and public speaking skills and a strong understanding of asset management SNS and all digital and emerging platforms.
The position has a HYBRID schedule. Employees are expected to work onsite in the Santa Monica office at least 2 days per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and lead the marketing team providing guidance and support.
Develop and implement marketing and brand strategy and plans to achieve business objectives.
Ensure all marketing materials and communications are consistent with the brands voice and guidelines.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of past and present IPs for brand awareness.
Maintain marketing calendar for multiple shows and production schedules on asset creation and delivery announcements and other marketing initiatives.
Support search engine optimization (SEO) and user engagement for content optimization.
Coordinate and oversee marketing campaigns including events digital print and social media.
Develop implement organize and manage marketing campaigns for seasonal and legacy shows or new product releases under the supervision of a senior manager.
Create digital content copy and creative writing that aligns with creative guidelines and brand tone if necessary.
Support the production team with quality control of copy synopsis and other production documents as needed.
Supervise marketing events including planning writing scripts coordinating with various stakeholders preparing presentations and hosting panels (requires business travel).
Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns providing reports and insights to senior management.
Oversee the marketing budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources under the Senior Managers supervision.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing efforts.
Effectively communicate and maintain relationships internally with other departments and externally with partners and agencies to ensure creative assets or campaigns are within the brand tone and positioning of the title for cohesive marketing efforts.
Assist with special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Proven experience as a Marketing Supervisor or similar role with strong leadership and team management skills
5 years of relevant experience in marketing ideally working in an entertainment brand / streaming setting with a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies digital media and social platforms.
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or a related field
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with various levels of management peers and partners across various teams
Strong copywriting creative writing presentation and public speaking skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Self-motivated a self-starter confident organized with good time management attention to detail and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
Proficient in Google Workspace: Calendar Drive Forms Sheets etc.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop Illustrator Premiere Pro After Effects etc.
Excellent knowledge of Facebook X (Twitter) YouTube Instagram TikTok and other emerging social media platforms and best practices.
Graphic design and video editing experience preferred.
Strong anime IP knowledge is preferred.
Japanese-English Bilingual skill is a huge plus.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90000 to $100000. In addition to the annual base salary this role has an annual bonus target of 10%. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors which may include as applicable the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience specific and unique skills level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
