Job Description

The main mission of the regulatory engineer is to define the applicable regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with these requirements. The main role of the regulatory engineer is to define the applicable regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with said requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority): As part of a project team you are responsible for:

Definition of applicable regulatory requirements and verification of compliance with these requirements over all phases of the project life

Where applicable the definition of the regulatory classification of the component or equipment

The drafting/verification of regulatory documents (Risk Analyzes Special Assessment of Nuclear Materials Final Visual Examination Specification Unacceptable Defect Files)

Internal or external discussions (customer Authorized Body suppliers or the Nuclear Safety Authority) on regulatory issues

Support to project teams for the application of the technical framework

The drafting of regulatory notices allowing hold points to be lifted in manufacturing (particularly during critical or irreversible operations).

The purpose of these notices is to identify possible regulatory requirements that have not been met. As part of a project team you are responsible for:

The definition of the applicable regulatory requirements and the verification of the compliance of said requirements over all the stages of the project

Where applicable the definition of the regulatory classification of the component or the equipment

The drafting and verification of regulatory documents (Regulatory Hazard Analysis Nuclear Material Particular Appraisal Regulatory Visual Examination Specification Unacceptable Defect documents)

The internal discussions and exchanges with external stakeholders (Customer Notified Body Suppliers of French Nuclear Safety Authority) on regulatory topics

The support to the project teams for the application of the technical reference

The issuance of regulatory advices allowing some hold points to be lifted at the manufacturing stage (particularly during critical or irreversible activities).

The purpose of these advices is to identify possible regulatory requirements that have not been met.
