None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is looking for a Surface Treatment I professional that will support our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) facility. You will oversee the finishing of aircraft components that are essential to aerodynamics noise reduction airflow efficiency and landing deceleration. Your work will contribute to the delivery of airplane technology to the largest manufacturers in the world.
What you will do:
- You will be working onsite at our Foley AL Location
- Work 1st shift hours (6:30am 3pm) Monday Friday
- Required to work varying shifts including but not limited to nights weekends holidays rotating shifts and overtime as required
- Read and interpret blueprint specifications SRMs and shop orders to determine area to be sealed and painted.
- Stir mixture with shake machine or mix by hand.
- Apply cleaning solvent or other solutions to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Clean and roughen the surface of objects to be coated.
- Apply paint primers clear coat sealants or adhesives.
- Complete seal and water testing of components.
- Install and seal small detail parts or small sub-assemblies.
- Dispose of hazardous material.
- Mask area for application.
- Application of Stencils and Decals
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields hearing protection protective clothing arm sleeves dust mask gloves (rubber or latex) and other PPE as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma In the absence of a HS Diploma or GED 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: We Prefer:
- Prior paint or processor experience along with blueprint and/or specification reading skills.
- Able to read write speak and understand work instructions (verbal and written) perform basic math calculations and conduct self-inspection / audit.
