Job Description
The Licensed Tradesperson maintains diagnoses tests and repairs the material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g. conveyors gear boxes rollers drive unit hydraulic and pneumatics systems etc.) to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime in compliance with health and safety standards.
Conduct regular preventative / predictive maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g. conveyors gear boxes rollers drive unit hydraulic and pneumatics systems etc.) to maintain equipment in a good state of repair in compliance with health and safety standards
Diagnose and repair Material Handling Equipment mechanical or electrical failures to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime to reduce downstream impact to service delivery
Inspect and monitor Material Handling Equipment and related facilities
Prepare and maintain reports (e.g. safety operational)
Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
Completion of Specialized Courses Normally Taught in Community or Recognized Specialty Colleges Consisting of About Three Academic Years
Red Seal certification required
For electrician roles a Licensed Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) is required
For millwright roles a Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A) is required
5 years of experience either as an electrician or millwright that installs maintains diagnoses or repairs Material Handling Equipment.
