Higher Education Generalist-Ranger Campus Job Description
Reports to the Registrar and the VP of Administrative Services (items 11-15). The major duties and responsibilities include:
Provide customer service for the Ranger Welcome Center.
Providing secretarial support and assistance to the Registrar.
Develop maintain and operate various technologies.
Review and improve system operations practices.
Assist with admissions.
Advise and Register students
Plan and assist with Ranger Round Up
Remain current and knowledgeable of Financial Aid processes and procedures.
Provide immediate response to problems and emergency situations affecting normal operations.
Work closely with appropriate external vendors to ensure efficient functionality of resources.
Responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance for students.
Counsel and advise students in specific curriculum decisions including the choice and scheduling of courses selection or change of majors and minors etc. providing referrals to specific departments as appropriate.
Plan schedules recommend courses and determine appropriate education solutions for different types of students.
Assist in recruiting prospective students in Eastland County.
Research and resolve website functionality issues.
Assist with the webmaster duties.
Run reports as needed to show website usage.
Manage the
Serve as the appointed customer relations representative.
Coordinate the states customer service performance measure under Government Code Chapter 2114
Gather information and evaluations from the public about RCs customer service.
Respond to customer concerns.
Establish the agencys Compact With Texans (which must be approved by the governors OBP and the LBB and address responses to public complaints applicable licensing & certification procedures and customer waiting time for complaints.) The Compact With Texans must be published on the colleges website.
Serve on committees and at meetings as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate degree preferably in an IT or educational focus.
Experience: At least 2 years work-related experience preferred.
