Job Description
- Oversee all employes working on builds related to this particlar customer
- Check builds for quality according to blueprints
- Interact and meet with the Custom Products Supervisor on a regular basis to discuss work assignments schedule changes and lumber needs
- Assign work to employees within the department according to schedule and deadlines
- Load and unload trucks according to shipping schedule
- Assist in training employees within the department
- Build pallets and crates when needed
- Move material around where and when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of manufacturing and/or forklift experience required
- Experience with working with people perferably in a lead position
- Self-motivated to complete tasks and production schedule
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate solid decision making and leadership skills
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral form
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations
- On most occasions will lift 50 pounds or less and on a rare occasion must be able to lift push and pull objects that are 75 pounds or heavier
- Must be able to sit walk bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to understand and adhere to all the safety requirements of the pallet manufacturing facility
