Job Description
Cleans sterilizes and assembles equipment supplies and instruments. Decontaminates surgical instruments. Sterilizes equipment using sterilizer or disinfects with antiseptic solutions. Prepares packs of supplies and instruments dressing and treatment trays needles syringes and gloves. May fill requisitions and inventory supplies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or
- 1 year central sterile processing experience preferred.
- Evidence of a certification course for Central Service Technical Training or achieve within 9 months of hire.
- Certification in sterile processing encouraged and recommended.
- Current BLS certification.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills
Critical Physical Demand Summary:
- Lifting Combo Lift: Exert 1 to 30 lbs rarely.
- Lifting Mid Range Lift: Exert 50 to 75 lbs rarely.
- Carrying Preferred: Exert 1 to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Push/Pull Push: Exert 110 to 110 lbs rarely.
- Push/Pull Both push and pull: Exert 20 to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Grip Preferred: Exert 10 to 40 lbs rarely.
- Grip Able to alternate: Exert 10 to 40 lbs frequently.
