About the Role:
Were looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help design and guide secure network architecture across hybrid and cloud environments. Youll play a key role in shaping transport strategy advising leadership and helping teams put Zero Trust principles into action.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys solving complex networking challenges and working closely with both engineers and decision-makers. If you like thinking strategically but also want to stay close to the tech this job strikes that balance.
What Youll do:
- Guide enterprise network design and secure transport in hybrid multi-vendor environments.
- Provide technical and leadership-facing input on routing strategies interconnects and cloud gateway architectures.
- Support Zero Trust implementation especially around micro segmentation and isolation at the transport layer.
- Brief executives and collaborate with engineers across operations sustainment and architecture on practical solutioning.
- Contribute expertise across core network engineering domains including SDN IP/MPLS transport hybrid cloud connectivity and virtualized network infrastructure.
- Support Agile Release Trains (ARTs) with architectural reviews technical assessments and modernization planning.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security)
- Strong experience in one or more: SDN IP routing MPLS WAN design segmentation or hybrid cloud networking
- Understanding of ITSM (change config and incident management)
- Familiarity with Agile environments and supporting Agile teams
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex ideas to both engineers and leadership
- Willingness to travel up to 10% annually
Nice to Have Requirements:
- Experience with IT modernization in a federal or DoD setting
- Understanding of cloud migration and legacy decommissioning
- Knowledge of Zero Trust enforcement mechanisms
