This position is in Cargills protein and salt business where we provide wholesome high-quality food products to a wide range of customers from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Utilities Supervisor will coordinate the deployment of maintenance practices in alignment with production needs at the Cargill Protein production facility in Camp Hill PA. In this role you will supervise a utilities team which executes activities to maintain capacity utilization and quality standards for reliable operations for the facility.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the execution of the utilities department and for each asset involved with containing controlling or safeguarding a high hazard process.
  • Lead third party contractors to set the strategy and execution of projects upgrades maintenance ammonia refrigeration equipment and support contractors with project parameters.
  • Implement methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards.
  • Assist with the integration of contractor partners and equipment providing support to the plant operations team.
  • Partner with regional and facility leadership to support area leading practices.
  • You will have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring performance or disciplinary actions and much of your time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of related work experience
  • Ammonia system experience
  • Strong Leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous refrigeration experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience coordinating third party resources to deliver business results
  • Caro and/or Ciro certification or willing to obtain certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and take call occasionally
