The course is offered by NYU Florence beginning Fall 2025 in conjunction with the NYU Stern School of Business Department of Economics.
The course is taught in English. The class meeting pattern for this 4 credit course consists of 2 weekly meetings of approximately one hour and a half two times a week. In addition to the time required for course preparation classroom instruction and marking the instructor is required to hold a minimum of one set 60-minute office hour per instruction day during which the instructor will be available to meet with students.
There are 15 in-person instructional weeks. The instructor role includes all preparation delivery and course is intellectually challenging in content and requires rigorous student assessment. Course details
The Economics of Global Business is an intermediate level course in macroeconomics with particular attention on international economics. The goal of this course is to provide a coherent framework for analyzing international macroeconomic events (e.g. long-run economic growth the rise of globalization recessions and booms) and macroeconomic policies (e.g. monetary fiscal trade and currency policy).

PhD or equivalent title in a relevant field is required. Experience teaching in US Institutions or programs is helpful.
Ideal candidates should be excellent teachers and accomplished professionals who can demonstrate an ability to connect theory and practice with young artists with a varying degree of experience with course themes and encourage student-led inquiry in the classroom.
Additional Qualifications:
Professional experience in an international environment.
A minimum of 3 years teaching experience at university level
Fluency in English and experience teaching in English.
Italian work-permit at the time of application covering the entire period of the employment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have international teaching experience.
