Could you be the VIE - Junior Buyer in Bologna were looking for

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your sourcing and supplier management expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

Youll play a key role in deploying the Trackside commodities strategy with a focus on the EOLANE project. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (including project teams sourcing representatives and commodity managers) manage supplier relationships and ensure project execution aligns with Quality Cost and Delivery (QCD) objectives.

Well look to you for:

Supplier relationship:

  • Identification of project and business needs
  • Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers (Italians and LLCC) using the standard tool
  • Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
  • Inputs provider/contributor for order placement
  • Ensure QCD targets achievement CONQ (Cost Of Non Quality) & claims management
  • Lead supplier QCD performance reviews
  • Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
  • Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines

Commodity support on site:

  • Consolidation of commodity needs
  • Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
  • Support Trackside Unit for tender phase
  • Represent the commodities towards projects platforms and solutions.
  • Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
  • Apply the Alstom Sourcing processes and provide return on experience.

Involvement in projects/tenders:

  • Closely work with sourcing representatives
  • Ensure work package commitment respect
  • Ensure QCD targets

  • Degree in Business Supply Chain Management Engineering or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of sourcing and supplier relationship management
  • Knowledge of Quality Cost and Delivery (QCD) principles
  • Familiarity with tools like SAP and advanced Excel skills
  • A certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Basic Italian knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage stress effectively
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
