Description
Location: 1866 King Edward Street Winnipeg MB
Working Hours: Part Time 15 hours per week
Schedule varies as required
Wage: $18.72 per hour
The Relief Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination weight size and shape to meet client delivery schedules. Called in as needed to cover shifts part-time. Does not conform to a regular schedule; weekly hours only.
Responsibilities
Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
Requirements
- No experience necessary
- Proper scan and load techniques
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Attention to process quality and/or operational standards
- Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
- Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
