Worker will assist in a plant pathology lab focused on field-based research. The position involves helping with disease scouting collecting plant and soil samples setting up and maintaining field trials and recording data. Additional duties may include assisting with lab or greenhouse tasks such as sample processing and data entry. This is a hands-on role ideal. The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are required.
Under direct supervision performs routine unskilled manual labor to assist in a temporary capacity (less than 780 hours per fiscal year) at workshops conferences camps and other special events.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment.
Ability to learn to perform a variety of unskilled tasks.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
