Job Description

AvionX Processes and Tools Manager

Company:

Boeing AvionX is seeking a AvionX Processes and Tools Manager to join our team in Long Beach CA or Plano TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assigned manager responsible for AvionX processes and tools (PnT) workforce

  • Also responsible for oversight of Boeing International workforce assigned PnT statement of work (SOW)

  • Plans and manages associated multi-$M annual budget and SOW consistent with AvionX programs operations services and functional needs for processes and tools

  • Works closely with Boeing IT supplier management and other organizations involved in PnT strategy and implementation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

  • Experience in implementing and managing product data management infrastructures for technical product development cycles

  • Experience directly managing PDM infrastructure personnel/teams (at least at the K-level)

  • Demonstrated performance of collaborating with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)that are stakeholders in a product development lifecycle

  • Experience as a functional manager (at least a the K-level)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated experience working with subordinates peers and senior management to execute assigned RAA

  • Experience working with international teams such as India and Poland. This includes potentially directing work performed by international teams

  • Familiarity with the product development lifecycle for avionics products

  • Experience with engineering product development processes and tools required to: (1) implement a product data management infrastructure that supports an avionics product development lifecycle; (2) maintain configuration control; (3) implement and manage tools baselines; and (4) implement process improvement.

  • Strong understanding of Configuration Management and the multiple configuration baselines that must be maintained for every program

  • Strong familiarity with existing AvionX process and tools baselines

  • Familiarity with parts management control

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) including developing Quantifiable Backup Data (QBD) and Control

  • Account Management (CAM) experience

  • Experience with developing proposals including developing budgets and a resource loaded schedule

  • Technical degree or working towards a technical degree; and/or an MBA; and/or Program Management Certificate
