Job Description
Chewy is looking for aSoftware Engineer Ito join the Fulfillment and Logistics technology team inMinneapolis MN. Were seeking Software Engineers to help shape the future of our Outbound Services and Technology organization. Engineering plays a critical role in defining and implementing our roadmap. We set high standards for delivering production-ready code by adopting CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) and DevOps engineering standard methodologies. Our engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and code to our platform as well as to collaborate with partner teams.
- Apply algorithms data structures and design patterns to produce efficient and high-performance code.
- Develop extend and debug code within the scope of the teams existing tools and services.
- Complete straightforward design and debugging tasks.
- Identify root causes and implement solutions for bugs and production issues.
- Contribute to the teams standard processes for logging testing instrumentation metrics monitoring alerts practices and procedures.
- Make significant contributions to the teams existing service architecture data architecture DevOps infrastructure as code deployment pipelines and public cloud services as part of a software development team.
- Participate in on-call rotations and uphold operational excellence.
- 1 years of Software Engineering experience.
- Experience building deploying testing APIs and micro services.
- Experience in Java and frameworks such as Spring boot.
- Experience with Postgres or other database.
- Bachelors degree (Computer Science or similar technical field of study preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in e-commerce supply chain fulfillment transportation or logistics.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool.
