The Opportunity:
The Social Media Specialist II Alumni and Brand Communications plays a critical role in enhancing UCFs digital voice through creative impactful and strategic social media storytelling. Reporting to the Director of Alumni & Digital Communications this role is responsible for managing multiple social media platforms producing engaging content and leading campaigns that build brand awareness and grow community engagement among UCF alumni and friends.

Classification Title: Social Media Communications Specialist II
Responsibilities:
Create and publish original high-quality contentincluding text graphics videos and imagestailored for each platform.
Develop and implement strategic social media plans aligned with editorial and brand goals ensuring timely and coordinated content across channels.
Manage and execute campaigns contests giveaways and promotions to grow engagement and brand awareness.
Lead and grow the Knightfluencer Program (social media ambassadors): identify influencers create shared content monitor participation track performance and manage incentives.
Monitor and respond to direct messages comments and mentions with professionalism cultivating a positive online community.
Use analytics tools to track metrics such as impressions reach engagement rate and follower growth; deliver regular reports with insights and data-driven recommendations.
Collaborate with UCF Central Marketing UCF Athletics and social media leads across campus to maintain consistent brand tone messaging and alignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing brand or organizational social media accounts across Facebook Instagram Twitter/X LinkedIn and YouTube.
Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout Social Hootsuite Later) and analytics platforms (e.g. Meta Insights Google Analytics).
Strong skills in short-form video creation editing and platform-specific content development (e.g. Reels shorts).
Experience working in higher education alumni relations or nonprofit communications.
Knowledge of UCFs brand values and alumni community is a plus.
The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:
Understanding of social media trends best practices and algorithm shifts.
Excellent copywriting and editing skills with an eye for visual detail.
Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $48722 - $59684.
