Liminal Lead Manager (Our New Coffee Shop Liminal)

Compensation: $26 - $29 per hour DOE
Position Description: : The Liminal Lead Manager leads the daily operations mission integration and strategic development of LiminalLighthouse Mission Ministries nonprofit coffee shop and workforce development site. This role manages coffee service quality staff training vendor relationships and the cultivation of a creative hospitable atmosphere that reflects the Missions values of hope restoration and community ensuring excellence in guest experience financial sustainability and job training outcomes for individuals rebuilding their lives.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily coffee shop operations including opening/closing procedures cleanliness product quality and hospitality.
- Maintains high standards for coffee preparation presentation and service.
- Manages ordering inventory and vendor relationships for coffee and caf supplies.
- Hires schedules and supervises staff including Assistant Manager Baristas and Trainees.
- Provides job training and mentorship to program participants in partnership with workforce development staff.
- Fosters a culture of dignity grace and accountability aligned with Christian holistic hospitality.
- Promotes Liminal as a space of community creativity restoration and excellent coffee.
- Implements events and storytelling initiatives that support the mission of Liminal and LMM.
- Monitors financial performance including sales cost of goods and labor.
- Implements menu pricing promotions and product strategies in partnership with leadership.
- Tracks and reports operational metrics and guest feedback.
- Maintains a positive pleasant and professional attitude.
- Oversees encourages and trains volunteers and interns as needed.
- Embraces and uses LMMs grace-based accountability philosophy.
- Provides Christian devotionals and prayer in group settings.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Organizational Relationships:
- Works independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Represents LMM to vendors and outside agencies in the course of daily work.
- Collaborates with Accounting regarding finances and financial statements
- Reports directly to the Chief Infrastructure Officer.
Qualifications:
- Agreement with the Lighthouse Missions Statement of Faith and adherence to the Life & Personal Covenant as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- A passion for serving Jesus and making the Gospel known through mercy ministry. The successful candidate will have an active church/prayer life.
- 2 years of leadership experience in a coffee shop or food service environment.
- Strong skill in barista techniques customer service and team management.
- Previous experience mentoring individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with nonprofit or workforce development environments preferred.
- Experience managing inventory vendors and coffee shop financial performance.
- Proficient in point-of-sale systems and Microsoft/Google office software.
- Ability to work independently make sound decisions and support team success.
- Effective interpersonal communication skillsboth written and verbal.
- Ability to report as regularly scheduled to the work site.
- Execution of a confidentiality agreement.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background screenings.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
- Standing 80%; walking 10%; sitting 10%
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in an shared office environment and operate standard office equipment with or without reasonable accommodations
