Responsibilities

Join CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy as an Emergency Department RN Clinical Educator and become a frontline nurse leader driving excellence in clinical nursing care and fostering the professional growth of our dedicated nursing staff. Youll be a key player in implementing education initiatives aligned with the CHI Health Nursing Strategic Plan and Vision acting as a change agent mentor and champion for interdisciplinary teamwork and evidence-based practice.

Your Impact:

  • Elevate Clinical Practice:Assess research coordinate and evaluate educational and professional development programs services and systems ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our Emergency Department nurses.
  • Be a Role Model and Mentor:Serve as a role model clinical nursing expert change agent mentor and leader inspiring and guiding nurses to achieve their full potential.
  • Drive Innovation:Actively seek out and implement evidence-based practices contributing to clinical excellence and innovation in emergency nursing education.
  • Champion Quality Improvement:Provide clinical expertise and leadership to quality improvement initiatives ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Facilitate Seamless Transitions:Coordinate and facilitate nursing transitions to practice and ongoing professional development through support of central onboarding clinical orientation nurse residency fellowships competency assessment and preceptor and mentor programs.
  • Develop Cutting-Edge Resources:Contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative educational tools and resources integrating adult learning theories organizational development principles and a systems approach.
  • Shape the Future of Emergency Nursing:Play a vital role in shaping the future of emergency nursing by empowering nurses with the knowledge skills and competencies they need to excel.
  • Influence System-Wide Initiatives:Serve as a consultant for organizational divisional and system initiatives and program development related to nursing practice.

Qualifications

  • BSN required. Masters Degree in Nursing or completion of MSN program within 5 years of start date.
  • Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska Iowa or nurse licensure compact.
  • Basic life support is required upon hire through the American Heart Association.
  • Nursing education experience demonstrating progressive experience in the development and implementation of clinical education programs.
  • Minimum three years relevant nursing experience.
