SAH-Sutter Amador HospitalPosition Overview:
Performs routine tasks of retrieving and filing x-ray film files. Processes requests for x-ray records and assists in the accurate timely acquisition and distribution of both digital and hardcopy patient records. Contributes to efficient functioning of the department through prompt response to all concerns related to x-ray records.Job Description:
These Principal Accountabilities Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Retrieves existing files for all x-ray patients. Updates file movement in radiology information system (RIS). Incorporates new films and/or reports with previous file per departmental procedures. Creates new film files as necessary.
Maintains integrity and accuracy of Imaging records through utilization of proper color and numeric coding efficient filing practices and prompt correction of errors discovered.
Pulls files as requested by physicians affiliated facilities and hospital personnel. Maintains files and logs of films pulled by such request. Verifies that all requests are processed according to departmental policy.
Verifies that all needed files have been retrieved and distributed appropriately. Makes certain that requesting parties are notified of the status of their requests.
Delivers film files to internal hospital departments and technologists area. Place films for viewing as necessary.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers patients and families both verbally and in writing.
Computer skills with PACS RIS and/or other Imaging related software.
Requires critical thinking skill decisive judgment and the ability to work under supervision or with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.

Pay Range is $23.00 to $28.74 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
