Job Description

Description

The purpose of this position is to support the message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ around the world. Church messages are delivered via television film web print mobile social media and other delivery channels in multiple languages.This role supports the efforts of photography to help share the gospel.

The Photography Asset Management Specialist collaborates closely with production teams to locate transfer and archive images ensuring all assets are properly cataloged and accessible. This role involves ingesting media into digital asset management systems creating accurate metadata following post-production workflows and ensuring efficient retrieval and distribution of photography files.



Responsibilities
  • Ingest and organize photography files into digital asset management (DAM) systems.
  • Maintain metadata accuracy and consistency across photography assets.
  • Support post-production workflows including file conversions renaming and version control.
  • Locate retrieve and deliver photography files upon request from production teams.
  • Ensure proper storage backup and archiving of all photography assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve asset management processes.
  • Troubleshoot file access or metadata issues as needed.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in film/video audio or multimedia production information/archival management or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Knowledge of concepts practices and procedures of digital asset management
  • Previous work in video/multimedia production setting quality control library/archive or other relevant experience with organizing editing & sorting data and using spreadsheets and databases is beneficial.
  • Detail oriented and able to focus for sustained periods of time
  • Ability to both work well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Understanding of MS Office programs Excel Word etc. and ability to create/use shared documents
  • Basic understanding of media technical specifications (Resolutions frame rates CODECS file types and formats etc.)
  • Basic understanding of digital production tools such as AVID Media Composer Adobe Premiere Photoshop and InDesign
