Job description:
- Opening for an associate attorney in their Cypress office
- Our office handles cases in the area of Workers Compensation Defense Employment law and Wage and hour.
- This position will require the associate to do legal research manage case files draft correspondence to clients draft pleadings prepare and respond to discovery defend and take depositions and communicate with clients insureds and outside counsel.
- The associate will be working closely with Senior Attorneys and Partners along with support from the Legal Secretary and Paralegal staff
- Candidate will work in a team environment and should have outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills be organized and conscientious of court deadlines and have a positive disposition
- The ideal candidate for this position is looking to work hard to gain litigation experience has exceptional writing skills is prepared to learn complex legal areas.
- Candidate has a JD and is admitted to the California bar or is currently taking bar
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The associate will be working closely with Senior Attorneys and Partners along with support from the Legal Secretary and Paralegal staff.
Here is a Breakdown of their Compensation tiered package
- Salary range between 90000 -100000 starting out.
- Once you are billing 170ish hours month your salary is increased incrementally
Comprehensive benefits list
- Health benefits are VERY good and includes dental and vision. 401k plan also.
- There are bonuses for billing >225 hours month ($40/hr.) and over 250 month it increases to $50/hr.
- Commission is paid on any new clients brought to the firm as well as bonus for direct file referrals.
- Attorneys are eligible as long as they are hitting their billing.
- 2 weeks vacation with sick time.
- There is an assistant for every two attorneys. also a paralegal and Medical Legal clerk to help the attorneys.
- Attorneys have their own office.
Hours approximately: FULL TIME; M-F
