Participates in and supports the operational activities of a business unit. Applies experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

Please note:This posting is for a 4-month Student Fall 2025 placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of December 2025.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in September/December 2025) but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity

The opportunity is to be a part of a dynamic team within RBC Royal Banks National Office group responsible for Credit Cards & Loyalty. You will work as part of an experienced team of Digital Product and Program Management experts drawing on your leadership potential to support development of new opportunities and business priorities to drive acquisition and growth in the competitive and innovate payments and loyalty space.

What will you do

Working under the direction of a digital product leader in Cards & Loyalty you will:

  • Be aligned with specific projects or business priorities
  • Work and collaborate with colleagues to identify test and/or implement opportunities to enhance products processes and competitiveness.
  • Assist in designing internal controls monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of regulatory risk management practices
  • Contribute ideas and perspectives to drive to better outcomes
  • Develop relationships and coordinate within and across teams to complete and facility project execution
  • Use various data sources to research identify opportunities calculate benefits and make recommendations
  • Leverage PowerPoint and other tools to effectively communicate recommendations to various stakeholders
  • Utilize Excel to manage data support reporting and/or identify new opportunities

What do you need to succeed

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution with an interest in Financial Services and Product Management particularly digital product management and technology enablement
  • An innovative thinker who is proactive is well organized with attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
  • Strong critical thinking analytical skills and a passion for solving ambiguous and complex business issues
  • Business knowledge - revenue & cost drivers
  • Strong communication skills including experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
  • Comfort with ambiguity and highly adaptable
  • Strong collaboration skills ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong MS Office skills Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint
