Calibrate is partnering with a distinguished Texas-based law firm to identify a Human Resources Manager who will bring strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to the firms HR function. With nearly a century of legal excellence across five Texas offices the firm is deeply rooted in tradition while forward-looking in its approach to client service and internal culture. This is a unique opportunity to lead and modernize the HR function in a dynamic legal environment where collaboration compliance and cultural alignment are paramount.
Reporting to firm leadership the Human Resources Manager will oversee the full spectrum of HR operations ensuring legal compliance enhancing employee experience and driving long-term talent strategy. This is a highly visible in-office role that requires both strategic insight and day-to-day execution across all facets of HR.
Key responsibilities:
- HR Operations & Compliance: Oversee all core HR functions ensuring seamless execution of policies legal compliance employee records management and budget oversight in alignment with firm standards.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Lead full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning efforts to attract top talent support long-term staffing strategies and align hiring with the firms evolving business needs.
- Performance Management & Employee Relations: Manage the firms performance evaluation and employee relations programs to foster a high-performing respectful culture rooted in fairness accountability and professional growth.
- Compensation Benefits & HRIS Administration: Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs maintain accurate HRIS/payroll systems and lead vendor partnerships to ensure operational efficiency and market alignment.
- Culture Collaboration & Office Integration: Partner with leadership and staff across all offices to promote a collaborative inclusive and values-driven culture while supporting internal initiatives and employee engagement efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience in a professional services or law firm environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise HRIS systems
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience managing employee benefits compliance and performance programs
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to offices outside of Austin
