Conducts advanced statistical analysis and data management to support the South Carolina department of corrections in monitoring operations performance and compliance.
Use SAS and other tools to analyze trends create reports and develop data visualizations for decision-making.
Ensure data integrity through regular cleaning and quality control.
Collaborate with staff and leadership to assess risks analyze historical data and develop methods that meet regulatory requirements.
Recommend evidence-based improvements to policies and resources.
Prepare and present findings in reports and dashboards for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support compliance by developing automated tools to track metrics and progress.
Work with internal audit and continuous quality improvement teams to evaluate institutional performance and assist in audit preparation.
Provide training on statistical tools and respond to data-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
A bachelor-s degree and one (1) year working experience in statistics;
OR
An associate degree and three (3) years working experience in statistics;
OR
A high school diploma and a minimum of five (5) years- working experience in statistics.
Preferred requirements at least one (1) year of experience working with statistical software (e.g. SAS) data management and quantitative reporting. Experience in a correctional governmental or regulatory environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to Interpret complex data support decision-making and maintain ethical standards in data handling.
