US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our float pool team at Heartplace in the Dallas TX area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.
- Administers all in-office nuclear tests.
- Images processes and formats images for physician interpretation.
- Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.
- Documents test results to physicians and patients as directed by physician.
- Verifies patient appointments the day before to ensure use of isotope.
- Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing i.e. do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Always adheres to company safety standards such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
- Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Degree or appropriate certification training.
- Minimum two years cardiovascular screening experience.
- Minimum two years experience in nuclear thallium testing.
- ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.
- Current CPR certification.
