Job Description

Job Title: EMR Chart Builder Temporary (90 Days)

Department: Health Information/EMR Transition Team
Reports To: Pain Practice Manager
Location: Remote or On-Site (Work from Home Options Considered)
Schedule: Full-Time Temporary (90-Day Assignment)

Position Summary:

We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented individuals for a temporary position assisting with the electronic chart build in preparation for our upcoming Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system go-live. This role is essential in transitioning office-based patient charts into the electronic system and ensuring accuracy completeness and readiness for clinical use.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and assemble electronic patient charts using standardized templates and procedures.
  2. Enter data quickly and accurately from scanned or physical records into the EMR system.
  3. Ensure charts are properly organized and labeled for clinical usability.
  4. Meet established daily quotas for chart builds with a focus on quality and consistency.
  5. Identify and escalate missing or incomplete information as needed.
  6. Collaborate with project team members and follow detailed instructions for chart configuration.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient health information in compliance with HIPAA.
  8. Participate in virtual team check-ins and report progress to assigned supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Strong typing and computer data entry skills (minimum 50 WPM preferred).
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to meet productivity targets in a repetitive and deadline-driven environment.
  5. Experience with EMRs or healthcare data entry preferred but not required.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Reliable internet connection for remote work if applicable.
