Job Description
Maryville High School is seeking a Head Coach for the Girls Softball Program. This position can be joined with a district teaching position.
Position: Head Girls Softball Coach
- Start date - July2025
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years coaching experience preferred
- Softball or Baseball experience at the collegiate level preferred

Qualities:
- Dynamic communicator and motivator of student-athletes
- Develop and maintains a positive educational environment as the leader of the team.
- Manage and supervise athletic activities contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills teamwork discipline respect and good sportsmanship.
- Be present and active during any activity involving girls lacrosse athletes.
- Coordinate the development promotion and retention for the Girls lacrosse Program
- Develop and organize a regular practice schedule and practice plan along with other coaches to provide both individual and team development along with consistent implementation of expectations.
- Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Actively support student athlete post-secondary goals.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators governing organizations (TSSAA) opponents officials staff parents and students.
- Incorporate best practices into a growth-oriented teaching/coaching style
- Perform duties assigned to all coaches by administrators
- Must develop and manage a team budget strictly according to bookkeeping procedures.
- Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan
