Materials Handler

The Material Handler an essential part of hospital operations supporting our Dietary Aides by accounting for stock and delivering supplies according to the minimum and maximum levels for the units carts and floor supplies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Accounting for stock and delivering supplies according to the minimum and maximum levels for the units carts and floor supplies
- Receives inspects unpacks labels stores and issues various medical supplies instruments materials etc
- Maintains inventory records of items received and issued
- Prepares goods for shipping by packing and making transportation arrangements
Required Skills and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience in Materials Handling
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in food or consumables logistics is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time lifting up to 50 pounds sitting pushing pulling and reaching.
- May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary location may include loud noises wet and slippery conditions exposure to sharp objects
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center
- May need to work some evenings and weekends
Pay Range Disclosure:
- $17.50 to $23.00 per hour
