PLAYGROUND MONITOR
LOCATION:Pioneer Elementary School
REPORTS TO:Principal
DEPARTMENT:Elementary
Hours / Work Times
5 Hours Per Day (8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) Regular Days
3.75 Hours Per Day (8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.) Early Release Days
190 Days Per Year (180 student days / 10 holidays)
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 06/03/2025.
This position is expected to begin August26 2025
A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within45 days of hire. Only courses with a hands-on component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.

Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the building Principal the Playground Monitor is responsible for supervision of students on the playground and surrounding areas and/or in the cafeteria so that the safety and well being of all students is guaranteed.
