You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for a Financial Analyst Assets & Projects to join our Group Finance division in this newly created role. You will join a high-performing welcoming team based at our modern Head Office which offers a vibrant environment featuring a balcony BBQ area collaborative and quiet spaces and plenty of natural light. This role provides an opportunity for you to take full ownership of this function and lead initiatives in process improvement.
About the role
In this role you will support the group finance team by managing end-to-end financial processes that supports business investment expenditure including fixed assets leased assets and any other capital or growth will provide insights into how approved expenditure is being managed and committed benefits delivered.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Owning the fixed asset register lease accounting and capital management process.
Working closely with the Financial Accountant (Assets) to ensure all asset management systems are kept updated with the latest additions and disposals.
Preparing and maintaining monthly reporting on capital expenditure fixed assets and leased assets.
Preparing ad hoc reports for senior management CFO and the board as requirements arise.
Reviewing month end ledger postings for accuracy and explain variances.
Preparing budgets and forecasts for capex fixed assets and lease accounting transactions.
Reviewing and approving business cases requesting the use of capital expenditure.
Preparing post implementation reviews for projects ensuring all financial related business case outcomes have been met.
Maintaining process and policy documentation regarding capex management fixed assets and lease accounting.
Reviewing capex and asset related balance sheet reconciliations for quality and accuracy ensuring they are well supported.
Identifying and highlighting risks and issues and asset related improvement opportunities.
Acting as point of contact for any external or internal audit requirements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 5 years relevant finance experience.
CPA/CA qualification highly desirable.
Capability to work autonomously and drive process improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to an ASX-listed company would be advantageous but is not essential.
