Security Coordinator
Summary:
The Security Coordinator is a position within the Global Security segment of the Global Security & Real Estate Organization which contributes to the development and application of access control policies and procedures and works actively in the site credentialing program. The Security Coordinator will perform a variety of security-related functions to ensure the safety and security of company employees and assets.
What your day-to-day looks like:
- Interpret and apply established policies and procedures as related to the department.
- Serve as interdepartmental liaison involving administrative business.
- Coordinate with external suppliers regarding implementation of the agreed scope of work in relation to various Security programs.
- Conduct peer and supplemental reviews of various access files for completeness and accuracy; and compliance with company customer and regulatory requirements.
- With direct guidance coordinate and assign security programs while ensuring processes programs and practices are current and utilized. Recommend and/or coordinate proposed changes to department policies and procedures.
- Maintain current information and programs which ensure a high level of security operations and awareness among the assigned sites population.
- Process system-generated reports such as SAP CCURE AACP etc. and undertake associated tasks as required.
- Prepare special reports as assigned for various operational and resource planning activities for programs including: access authorization unescorted access security medical travel budgetary and expenditure analyses etc.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by security management
What we would like to see from you:
- Bachelors degree in Security or related field is preferred; 1-3 years of security experience or commensurate experience in an operational environment
- Working knowledge of related security operations applicable NRC regulations safety practices and enforcement procedures in a corporate business center and/or Westinghouse site location.
- Experience in people skills for coordinating work schedules for assigned security related tasks.
- Ability to respond to regulatory government law enforcement inquiries and/or employee/customer issues and escalate to management as needed.
- Ability to effectively present training and information as appropriate.
- Ability to maintain multiple projects/issues for assigned site(s).
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and regulatory required background investigations to include but not limited to: criminal traffic fingerprint records check work references and education history
