JOB TITLE: Recovery Ministry Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Program
STATUS: Full-Time
PAY RATE:19.50/hr
SUPERVISOR: Administrator for Program
GENERAL STATEMENT:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Salvation Army Officer Minister Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Bachelors degree with 1-year
relevant experience.
1-year experience teaching or presenting material related to rehabilitation from addiction.
Strong organizational and administrative skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Active Christian worldview.
Experience in counseling including group process and spiritual guidance.
Ability to operate standard office equipment and Microsoft Office programs.
Valid Drivers License and clean MVR.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
If in recovery must have 3 years of continuous sobriety and no evidence of current chemical dependency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to make critical decisions and maintain confidentiality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit walk stand bend squat climb kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp push pull objects such as files and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
SPIRITUAL CARE & CHAPEL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with and when necessary or assigned Conduct Chapel services on Wednesday nights Sunday mornings
and special occasions.
Prepare meeting outlines coordinate service participants and provide altar counseling.
Coordinate Bible studies and Christian education classes.
Provide spiritual counseling and support to beneficiaries.
Assess spiritual needs during counseling sessions and refer to support as needed.
COUNSELING & PROGRAM DUTIES
Cross-trained to conduct intake interviews including orientation to religious programming.
Assist in maintaining accurate and confidential beneficiary records and statistics.
Assist in preparation for 3- and 5-month reviews; serve on review panels as assigned.
Participate in weekly Case Conferences and other program meetings.
Assist in coordinating program curriculum classes and ensure objectives are met.
ADMINISTRATIVE & SUPPORT TASKS
Perform administrative tasks: correspondence scheduling file maintenance meeting minutes.
Assist in processing and updating beneficiary files and program records (e.g. BITS and Case Conference
Reporter).
Cross-trained in intake operations drug screening ID badges Megans Law checks.
Prepare and submit monthly and special reports as assigned.
Cross-trained in Coordinating food stamp applications and maintain eligibility compliance with Social Services.
Prepare certificates for graduation ceremonies.
Assist in maintaining updated organizational charts manuals and procedural documents.
OTHER DUTIES
Maintain professional judgment and confidentiality at all times.
Serve as a role model for beneficiaries.
Ensure safety measures are upheld according to ARC and legal standards.
Cooperate with Administrators to strengthen program impact and compliance.
Perform other written or verbal duties as assigned.
All overtime must have written approval by an Administrator or designee.
