Our team is responsible for the relationship management system for interactions with Amazons business partners including but not limited to Sellers and Vendors. Today we serve 170 Amazon business with 60K active users per month.
We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems. Our systems manage hundreds of millions of requests and respond to millions of service requests. We have UI portal and distributed backend services that respond to high TPS. This role is for hiring software development engineer for Paragon Frontend team where were re-architecting our entire stack as well as reimagining our control plane experience for the Paragon product.
We are looking for an awesome engineer who takes pride in tackling interesting challenges excel at working in an agile environment and are excited about our mission. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. They need to really enjoy working closely with their peers in a group of very smart and talented engineers.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement key components/platform features that work at high scale.
Be a champion for the team w.r.t. operational and engineering excellence
Partner with product managers and peers to solve hard technical challenges
A day in the life
Design and implement code to build features that work at scale.
Interact with product managers and customers to understand key problems.
Interact with peers for code review operational/engineering excellence.
(Side note) We are low on OE with very few sev-2s during on-call shift
About the team
Paragon is a case management platform product that is used by more than 170 teams across Amazon and more than 60K associated including but not limited to Seller support Customer Trust and Ads org for use-cases ranging from customer service to customer relationship management solution. This org is 80 member group that consists of product managers as well as engineering functions (SDEs Frontend engineers data engineers as well as BIEs).
Paragon Frontend team is a 16 member team that is responsible for the frontend stack comprising of SDEs FEEs and QAs. Were re-architecting our overall infrastructure to move towards NAWS application leading to a brand new development of several components.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
