Sustainability Specialist to Sourcing - Husqvarna Construction
About the Role:
As a Sustainable Sourcing Specialist you will play a key role in integrating sustainability into the sourcing processes and operations. You will contribute to the development of the sustainable sourcing strategy design sourcing processes that incorporate sustainability initiatives and monitor and engage with suppliers to ensure that the products and services sourced have minimal negative impact on the environment and people and meet regulatory requirements. Working closely with global sourcing teams and suppliers you will help drive the transition towards more sustainable supply chains and contribute directly to the achievement of the organisations long-term sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers and third-party providers to drive sustainable sourcing and compliance reporting ensuring sustainability targets are met and exceeded.
- Develop and deploy the sustainability audit process in close collaboration with the purchasing organization and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and apply ESG regulations including coordination of Human Rights and Environmental Due diligence in the supply chain. Ensure alignment with evolving policies and procedures in close cooperation with Group Functions.
- Embed sustainability into sourcing and procurement operations
- Engage with suppliers - perform workshops take part in supplier meetings and drive continuous improvement programs with strategic suppliers
- Represent sourcing in material compliance and sustainability in new product development projects
- Shape the future of sustainable sourcing by contributing directly to the strategy that defines how we work with our suppliers and build a more resilient responsible supply chain.

With a proactive mindset and a sense of ownership you ensure smooth and efficient work. Success in this role also calls for excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
If you have a couple of years experience from a similar position and are familiar with driving and developing change within a purchasing organization and want to take the next step in your career then this could be the position for you.
Experience with CSRD and sustainability reporting is highly valued. Familiarity with sourcing processes and supplier collaboration is a strong advantage. Experience with informal leadership in a global environment is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Master degree Business Administration Engineering Sustainability or similar.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
Location
This position is primary based in Jonsered just outside of Gothenburg but can also be located at another Husqvarna site in Sweden. Within Husqvarna we apply a hybrid work model with up to 50% remote.
