Summary
Responsible to directs patients to exam room obtain and record accurate routine patient vital signs prepare patients for examination and assist with performing procedures injections and other treatments as ordered by provider. Also responsible to provide support to the leadership team by assisting with training more junior staff facilitating on-going education and functioning as a go-to for peers.

Essential Functions
-Acts as mentor for the medical assistant staff leads by example fosters staff development and assists in training other Medical Assistants.
-Assists physicians and nurses with procedures and treatments as directed.
-Interview patients to obtain medical information record medical history/vital statistics and measure their vital signs weight and height.
-Collect blood tissue or other laboratory specimens log the specimens and prepare them for testing.
-Explain treatment procedures medications diets or physicians instructions to patients.
-Perform test as ordered by clinician such as EKG immunization administration nebulizer treatment or spirometry.
-Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
-Perform general office duties such as answering telephones taking dictation or completing insurance forms.
