Le Syndicat tudiant de lUniversit dOttawa (SUO) est le gouvernement tudiant officiel de la population tudiante de premier cycle de lUniversit dOttawa. Il a pour mandat de reprsenter ses intrts et de fournir des services essentiels sur le campus. Ensemble les leaders tudiantes lues et le personnel administratif dvou travaillent amliorer la vie acadmique et sociale des tudiantes de lUniversit dOttawa.
Description du poste
Le SUO est la recherche dune greffierffire pour son Conseil ou la greffierffire rdige les procs-verbaux des runions assiste les prsidences des comits et accomplit dautres tches administratives lors des runions mensuelles du Conseil dadministration du SUO ainsi que de nombreux comits du Conseil dadministration.
Responsabilits
- Rdiger les procs-verbaux des runions faire lappel et effectuer dautres tches administratives lors des runions mensuelles du Conseil dadministration du SUO;
- Rdiger les procs-verbaux des runions et effectuer dautres tches administratives pour les comits du Conseil dadministration;
- Soutenir les prsidences des comits en leur apportant une connaissance de la procdure parlementaire et des documents de rfrence du SUO;
- Prparer les procs-verbaux des runions pour approbation avant la prochaine runion du Conseil dadministration y compris leur traduction et mise en forme;
- Informer la population tudiante des activits du Conseil dadministration du SUO et de ses comits en tenant jour la page Instagram du Conseil;
- Collaborer avec la prsidence du Conseil dadministration et les prsidences des comits pour mener bien dautres tches administratives y compris la cration dinvitations des runions et lobtention de salles de runion le cas chant;
- Maintenir une stricte confidentialit; et
- Contribuer la bonne rputation du SUO.
Qualifications
- Bilinguisme: solides comptences en matire de communication crite dans les deux langues officielles (franais et anglais) et matrise du langage procdural/juridique;
- Capacit rsumer ou transcrire les discussions des runions en temps rel;
- Bon souci du dtail et capacit mettre en forme des documents;
- Connaissance ou volont dapprendre les principes du Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised 11e ou 12e dition;
- Connaissance de Microsoft Office et/ou de plateformes similaires;
- Solides comptences organisationnelles;
- Discrtion et capacit prserver la confidentialit des runions prives ou sensibles;
- Disponibilit le week-end ou en-dehors des heures normales de travail avec une notification pralable; et
- Exprience avec Canva ou un autre logiciel de conception graphique.
Le bilinguisme en franais et en anglais est un critre obligatoire. Veuillez noter que lentretien se tiendra en anglais et en franais.

Job Description
The UOSU is looking for a Clerk for its Board of Directors!The Clerk will take meeting minutes support Committee Chairs and complete other administrative tasks during monthly meetings of the UOSU Board of Directors as well as many of the Boards Committees.
Responsibilities
- Take meeting minutes roll call and other administrative tasks during monthly meetings of the UOSUs Board of Directors;
- Take meeting minutes and complete other administrative tasks for the Board Committees;
- Support the Committee Chairs with knowledge of parliamentary procedure and the UOSUs governing documents;
- Prepare meeting minutes for approval ahead of the next Board of Directors meeting including translation and formatting;
- Update students on the activities of the UOSUs Board of Directors and its Committees by maintaining the UOSUs Board of Directors Instagram page;
- Work with the Board Chair and the Committee Chairs to complete other administrative tasks including creating meeting invites as needed;
- Support the Chair of the Board with miscellaneous projects including planning General Assemblies
- Maintain strict confidentiality; and
- Contribute to the good reputation of the UOSU.
Qualifications
- Bilingualism: strong written skills in both official languages (French & English) andcommand of procedural/legallanguage;
- Ability to summarize or transcribe meeting discussions in real-time;
- Good attention to detail and ability to format documents;
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn the principles of Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised11thor12thEdition;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or similar platforms;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of private or sensitive meetings;
- Availability on weekends or after regular working hours when provided with advance notice; and
- Experience with Canva or other graphic design software.
Bilingualism in French and English is a requirement. Please note that the interview will be held in both French and English.
Preference will be given to candidates of equity-seeking groups and bilingual (French English or a North American Indigenous language) applicants. Please note that the interview will be held in both English and French if you state that you are bilingual while candidates who speak an Indigenous language will be asked to provide proof of language proficiency from a language teacher community leader or Elder.
