About Us
- Heidelberg Materials is one of the worlds largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees.
What Youll Be Doing
- Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests on building materials.
- Recording and analyzing data to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Set up and run concrete trial batches sample and test aggregates from production facilities customers and job sites.
- Testing plastic and hardened concrete properties such as: slump air content unit weight temperature time of set and compressive strengths at various ages.
What Are We Looking For
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Effective communication skills.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
- ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification preferred but required within the first 6 months of employment
- ACI Strength certification within one year
- ACI Lab certification within first 2 years
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment inclement weather heat cold humidity and elevated noise level.
What We Offer
- $35.49 per hour
