About The Position
The Technical Officer Printmaking is part of the DSC Facilities and Technical Services team provides expert technical support for staff and students across teaching research and creative projects with a focus on printmaking in the School of Art and related areas. The role involves maintaining specialist facilities to the highest standards staying up to date with industry developments and delivering innovative solutions to technical challenges in the creative arts.
Please note: The position may be required to work outside normal business hours from time to time.
To be successful in this position youll have:
1. Proven high level of technical knowledge and expertise in the area of print and/or printmaking.
2. Well developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of students and staff cohorts.
3. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and deliver innovative solutions to staff and students.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and effective delivery of services.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and application of OH&S legislation and regulations particularly regarding specialist spaces such as studios and workshops.
6. Demonstrated current information technology skills and knowledge.
7. Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and flexibly as a member of a team and broader community.
