Adult & Community Education - SmartSummers Program 2022
- The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking qualified and dynamic candidates to teach in Brooklines Adult & Community EducationSmartSummersprogram for children ages 5 - 12.
- The program will run from July 7 - August 15.
- Program session dates locations and hours vary. This program will meet in person.
- Teaching topics include but are not limited to: arts crafts theater computers intramurals martial arts robotics drones singing coding etc.
- The projected class size will vary depending on enrollment.
- If there are not enough people enrolled specific classes or the program may not run.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Works with Program staff and other instructorsto design and teach a curriculum that provides opportunities for students to increase their skills and interest in a given area.
- Interacts with and understands students in ways that create a climate of respect support and high expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Citizenship residency or work VISA in United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Past experience working in a public school with children as a teacher paraprofessional or teachers aid.
- The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community.
