About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team of HR professionals helping to design and lead Solar Turbines global talent acquisition program. As a Talent Acquisition Manager with Solar Turbines you will play a key role in leading a team attracting top talent to Solar ensuring Solar has the right talent with the right future-focused skills at the right time. This position supports full life cycle talent acquisition processes and projects for all position types including management support and production positions in all functions of the business.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the North America and Latin America talent acquisition organization focused on delivering top quality talent to hiring leaders while enhancing recruitment strategies and technologies

  • Responsible for relationship management with key customers such as hiring managers corporate process owners vendor contacts and HR Partners. Continually engage with hiring managers and Solar Turbines leadership to understand the business needs and have an in depth understanding of the business areas and the skills which are in demand.

  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment process and responsible for quality of the prospective candidates that are presented to the hiring managers for open requisitions.

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with local recruitment policies processes and employment laws.

  • Define recruiting-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): monitor and report performance and spending; make recommendations on improvement initiative to Regional and Global Recruiting Leadership including performance vs. targets sourcing/recruiting challenges/issues etc. Minimize time to hire and ensure customer satisfaction for the recruitment efforts.

  • Planning programs and setting goals to strategically address the organizations current and future workforce needs consulting on recruiting and staff allocation issues to departments

  • Collaborate with other regions to share knowledge and lessons learned.

What You Have:

  • Influencing: Extensive knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Leadership: Experience leading teams proven ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

  • Recruiting: Knowledge of best-in-class processes techniques and methods used in talent acquisition; ability to identify select retain and relocate talent for a wide range of positions.

  • Customer/Market Focus: Understands the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and can respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.

  • Workforce Analytics: Possesses knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze data information and metrics and bring insights while applying the results to support business decisions.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Extensive recruitment/human resources job-related experience.

  • Extensive experience in selection implementation and operation of various recruitment channels as well as passive sourcing and utilizing sourcing tools i.e. Indeed LinkedIn etc.

  • Experience designing developing implementing and program managing recruitment campaigns strategies and recruiting change management initiatives

  • Previous experience with an applicant tracking system (preferably Workday) and managing candidates through the recruiting review and selection process

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Leadership experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with various levels of the organization including strong written and verbal communication skills

Chosen candidate will need to be located in San Diego area. Relocation assistance may be available.

Summary Pay Range:

$140964.00 - $211446.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
