Job Description
We are looking for a PPAP Engineer to join the Quality team in Tamworth to ensure that all customer requirements are met with regards to PPAP approval.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out PPAP and parts validation
- Check through documentation received and ensure they meet customer requirements
- Support NPI ensuring PPAP compilation and submission to customer to meet project timing
- Oversee internal processes after PPAP approval to ensure all relevant information is store in correct locations and is kept current
- Support APQP activities within Quality together with the project team
- Support plant audits from internal and external organisations to IATF16949 & ISO 14001
- Support Change Management and evaluate ECRs (Engineering Change Requests) in relation to the Quality Department.
Skills and experience required:
- Technical Engineering diploma or equivalent (desirable)
- Six sigma green belt certified (desirable)
- Well versed in APQP and PPAP (essential)
- Knowledge and experience of core quality tools (APQP/PPAP/Control Plan/FMEA) (essential)
- Knowledge of JLR PPAP ePSW and alert system (desirable)
- Proficient user of IT tools (e.g. microsoft word PowerPoint excel) to enable feedback to all management levels.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO 14001.
